Community officers are at the heart of policing across Central Scotland.

The forcewide network of community-based police constables provide a local link to policing services and they work at the very centre of the neighbourhoods for which they are responsible.

Eight community policing teams cover the force, which operates three Area Commands - Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire - and smaller Sub-Area Commands

The eight teams cover - Grangemouth, Denny & Stenhousemuir, Falkirk North, Falkirk South, Bannockburn, Stirling, Dunblane and Clackmannanshire.

Using the links on the left, which detail individual communities where the officers are based, you can find out who your community constable is, how to contact them and details of appeals and other information about their work in your neighbourhood.

Officers - supervised by sergeants and inspectors with direct responsibility for community policing teams - work on the principles of PACT - Police And Communities Together.

Their work in caring for communities, safeguarding the public and preventing crime is built around a detailed knowledge of the community, engagement, action, review and feedback.

Working with the public and partners is essential to addressing the key issues of concern which affect communities, preventing anti-social behaviour and crime, detecting offenders and providing public reassurance.
